Iran’s War Against Israel is a Battle to Protect Humanity – All India Shia Personal Law Board Speaker

In a video message, the spokesperson of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, Maulana Yasoob Abbas, described Iran’s war against Israel as a fight for humanity. He urged the Indian government to take steps to bring back Indian pilgrims stranded in the region.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Maulana Yasoob Abbas expressed deep regret over Israel's actions, stating, "It is extremely unfortunate that Israel is violating Iran’s sovereignty and continuously bombing Iranian territory in breach of international laws. Meanwhile, countries that call themselves Muslim remain silent—or worse, are supporting Israel and its master, the United States."

He said that Israel has launched an unjust attack on Iran, violating all international laws, and that Iran has given a strong and appropriate response to these attacks. "Israel deliberately targeted Iranian civilians in these assaults," he added.

Abbas cited reports stating that more than 78 people have died due to Israeli attacks on Iran so far, including a two-month-old baby. He condemned these actions and called on not only Islamic countries but all nations that support peace and stand with the innocent to denounce Israel’s aggression.

He said, “Today, Iran has become the target of the hatred of Israel, America, and imperialist forces because it is standing up for the rights and dignity of innocent people. Iran's war against the U.S. and Israel is a defense of humanity—it’s not about religion or caste, it’s about human values.”

He also criticized Muslim countries that, despite reciting the kalma (declaration of faith), are not standing with Iran in this struggle. "Such countries may claim to be Muslim, but they have no connection with true Islam," he stated.

In conclusion, he highlighted the plight of Indian citizens currently in Iran and Iraq for religious pilgrimage, saying they are now in distress due to the war, as flights have been suspended and many pilgrims are stranded. He appealed to the Indian government and the Ministry of External Affairs to take immediate action to repatriate Indian pilgrims stuck in Iran and Iraq.
